The Laikipian Nature Shop is an online marketplace for African Nature and cultural artworks and community-generated design assets.The Nature Shop features fonts, board games,comics,photography, and other digital goods.
British Army Training Unit in Kenya (BATUK) fully funded the printing of 3000 copies of Hunt Me Not comic Issue 1 dubbed “Poaching Grounds”, the comic is born out of “real life” activities played out on the Laikipia plateau, the comic plunges the reader into the dark and daring world of wildlife trophy poaching. The 3000 copies of the environmental comic were distributed to over 30 Primary and Secondary schools in Laikipia to raise public awareness on the escalating threat to the environment and natural resources with Laikipia Wildlife Forum (LWF) as the distributing partners.

The Laikipian the first edition of the Hunt Me Not 5-a-side football tournament in aid of conservation education with BATUK as a the main sponsors of the event . The other partners of the event were County Government of Laikipia, Laikipia Wildlife Forum, Zeno Safaris, Play wild and Sporting Conservation Organization . The theme of the event was “conservation education through sports” with Lewa Education programme providing conservation education for the participating teams and sports enthusiasts Winners were awarded with a game drive to Ol-Pejeta and Lewa Conservancy and trophies for winners made from paper-mache base and recycled glass.

PROJECT:“Hunt Me Not 5-A-side Charity Football Tournament”
The Laikipian with support from BATUK, Laikipia Wildlife Forum and County Government of Laikipia organized a conservation quiz and charity night to raise funds to print and distribute 1000 copies of the Let’s Go Wild colour book to local children homes and public schools to raise conservation awareness. Let’s Go Wild is an interactive wildlife colour book developed by The Laikipian for children between the ages of 7-13 years that emphasizes the need to protect the environment and nurture wildlife. The poems have been developed by Grace Wanene of Drawing Dream initiatives 1000 copies distributed to children’s homes across Laikipia after successful Charity Quiz Night . the winning team,Tuni’s Hobo from BATUK, enjoyed their first prize of a game drive to Ol Pejeta conservancy which was organized and catered by Laikipia Wildlife Forum (LWF) .

The Laikipian designed Mending Fences, a 2 part Comic series on human elephant conflict. LWF Printed 1000 copies for each series for distribution in Laikipia to raise awareness on areas prone to Human Wildlife Conflict. LWF also were also the distributing partners of the 3000 copies of Environmental comic to primary and secondary schools across Laikipia.


Deigned education Posters for Save the Elephant on: -Elephant Poster: This is an outline of an elephant with facts about how the elephant supports ecosystems. -A-Z Wildlife Alphabet Poster with each letter of the alphabet representing a wildlife found in Samburu or an African animal -Science Poster - of a savannah ecosystem, perhaps a savannah, showing how different animals interact. Save The Elephants also purchased 400 copied of Let’s Go Wild Colour book for distribution in schools .
2000 copies distributed for free in the Maasai Mara ecosystem, after successful crowd-funding with the partners .
