H-Hartebeest

(Alcelaphus buselaphus) Hartebeest are large antelope that are native to Africa. They are characterized by their elongated head, unusual bracket-shaped horns, and high front legs sloping to lower hind legs. Hartebeest are primarily grazers, with their diets consisting mainly of grasses. They are very alert and non-aggressive animals. Hartebeest inhabit dry savannas and wooded grasslands, and they often move to more arid places after rainfall.
