Z-Zebra shark
(Stegostoma tigrinum) is a slow-moving, bottom-dwelling shark that is found in the Indo-Pacific region of South Africa, Asia and Australia. It is a relatively large shark, reaching up to 10 feet in length. Zebra sharks are docile and not considered a threat to humans. They are named for their distinctive black and white stripes, which help them to camouflage themselves in the coral reefs where they live.
Zebra sharks are nocturnal predators that feed on a variety of invertebrates, including crabs, shrimp, and snails. They also scavenge for dead fish and other marine animals. Zebra sharks are an important part of the reef ecosystem.
They are currently listed as vulnerable on the the International Union for Conservation of Nature (IUCN) Red List of Threatened Species. The main threats to zebra sharks are overfishing, habitat loss, and pollution.
