Nexus Dicey

Nexus Dicey is a fun-filled game that’s all about climate change and environmental awareness. Perfect for children, youth, and adults alike, this indoor and outdoor board game will have players engaging with the world around them while learning about the pressing issues that face our planet today. The game setup is a backdrop of our planet, where all seven continents are dealing with different climate and environmental challenges  that have both local and global effects.

In a world faced with an existential threat of extinction from climate change and environmental damage, players take the role of green warriors on a gruelling journey around the planet through an inward anti-clockwise pathway to the health of our planet by preventing extinction and achieving Net Zero against all odds. The players experience the real-world effects of climate change and get the opportunity to undertake activities that contribute to the health of the planet in a fun-filled way.

In Nexus Dicey, players embark on a journey to restore the health of our planet, while interacting with African wildlife species. From the critically endangered to the majestic, players will encounter these species in a way that’s reminiscent of a safari. , some of which are critically endangered, as they would on a “game safari”. Through this experience, we’re reminded that protecting our planet is about more than just humanity – it’s about preserving the rich biodiversity we share our home with.

There is a desire among people to understand their role in tackling climate change and reducing environmental harm. The game aims to raise awareness about the harmful factors responsible for the current climate crisis and promote eco-friendly activities that players can embrace to safeguard our planet, its biodiversity, and its people. The game underscores the potential of human behaviour to drive climate action bolstered by innovative solutions. If a sufficient number of individuals are motivated to alter their behaviour, the collective outcome could indeed be significant.

The Nexus between human activities, climate change and biodiversity loss has become increasingly evident, and the situation is getting more Dicey by the day.
